Hannaliisa Uusma

She works currently in Victim Support under Estonian Insurance Board as Chief project manager of the national MARAC system for high-risk domestic violence cases.

Since 2012 she has been visiting lecturer of Popular Music/Culture and/or Gender Studies in Estonian Academy of Arts and Tallinn University, Tartu Art School etc.

As a sociologist Hannaliisa Uusma’s research interests include gender, masculinities, popular music, youth studies, post socialist area.

The topic of her Doctoral thesis is Post socialist masculinities.

She is also active in different grassroots cultural projects. For example as one of the founders and owners of  experimental concert hall Triigi Filharmoonia and cultural cafe Agar-agar.
