EXPLORE BAHRAIN & SAUDI ARABIA

T R A V E L H I G H L I G H T S

BAHRAIN

BAHRAIN means TWO SEAS in Arabic language.

Bahrain has roots deep in the past, going back to more than 5000 years, as it was home to the civilizations: Dilmun, Tylos, and Awal.

Throughout history, it was called “the Land of Immortality” or “the Great Paradise” as it was known for fresh water springs and palm tree fields.

Bahrain was a vital link between civilizations, such as the Phoenicians in the Levant, Mesopotamia in ancient Iraq, the Nile Valley in Ancient Egypt. Excavations and historic evidence prove Bahrain to be a commercial hub and a sea transit point between East and West.

AL AHSA

AL AHSA - The Largest Oasis in the World

Al Ahsa Oasis is a serial property comprising gardens, canals, springs, wells and a drainage lake, as well as historical buildings, urban fabric and archaeological sites.

They represent traces of continued human settlement in the Gulf region from the Neolithic to the present, as can be seen from remaining historic fortresses, mosques, wells, canals and other water management systems.

With its 2.5 million date palms, it is the largest oasis in the world.

Al Ahsa is also a unique geocultural landscape and an exceptional example of human interaction with the environment.

RIYADH

RIYADH, the capital of Saudi Arabia, is in the heart of the country.

The city's name is derived from the plural of the Arabic rawḍah, meaning gardens or meadows,

This city, which gave rise to the kingdom and turned into a modern metropolis, is an amazing mixture of antiquity and modernity.

Centuries of history and the rich heritage of Saudi Arabia come to life here against the backdrop of the latest achievements of civilization.

Riyadh is gearing up to take its place on the world stage in 2030 for the World Expo.

ALULA & JEDDAH

The AL ULA Oasis is the cultural haven of the city and it has been the same for several eras. Layer upon layer of human history and a wealth of natural wonders are waiting to be explored, from dramatic rock formations and sand-swept dunes to archaeological ruins that trace the lives of the ancient cultures who built cities here.

JEDDAH is a city of wonder and splendor dating back thousands of years.

It is named after Eve, known as the mother of mankind.

Known as the first Islamic port. Jeddah was designed and modeled as a melting pot of influence from seventy different countries.
